It's also pretty easy to buy the Xbox live gold passes that are still available and convert them over to ultimate game pass. This is eneba. It's not all a scam. There is a lot a scams in this world, but thousands off of us on here have been able to upgrade our subscriptions with no Ill effects.
I think it's risky doing the conversion now, I've seen a couple of people recently with Microsoft clamping down on it

Huh? No, Microsoft hasn't been doing anything, they not only allow it but encourage it. Whether you convert from live to GPU at the 3:2 ratio, or you already have GPU and convert live codes at the MSRP ratio (They literally have a conversion FAQ where they themselves tell you how much GPU time you get when you convert via various methods).

Not sure why anyone would pay nearly triple what this goes for on gray markets, but speaking from experience I've had zero issues in over 3 years now.

I would include CDkeys here too. They tend to be a little more $ than eneba, but they actually have existing customer support. One of the keys I received didn't function and, while it took them a little longer than I would hope, they did get me a working key within a few weeks.

I agree, I won't use eneba after reading some of the comments, but I use cd keys exclusively for this. I actually leave a tab open in my phone with the three month live pass and check the price often. When it's low I top off to three years. If you're concerned still about fraud I use PayPal. Literally just topped off to three years ultimate last week with live codes. Think it was 7 bucks each, gets you 50 days of ultimate.

I initially bought the 3 years x box gold on one of the grey sites and then converted to GPU. It's set to expire in October. Does anyone k ow if I'll be able to redo that process and convert again? Or should I just load up in this deal?

I, and many, many, many, many, many, many,many, many, many other Slickdealers have used Eneba and CDKeys with a lot of success several times. You could get this same deal for ~$6.20 per 50 days a week or so ago.
The official Microsoft Game Pass is only ever a decent deal in exactly one scenario, which is when you cash in your Microsoft Rewards points for it.

I have not followed the news closely, but Xbox Live Gold ends on September 14. As far as I know, nobody knows how conversions will work after that. It would seem odd if they immediately kill the ability to convert, but Microsoft specializes in curious decisions.
I'd recommend maxing out a conversion before then, but as I mentioned, who knows what will happen.

Does anyone know if you can uses these 1 month cards as hoc?

I don't play as much as I would like to, but I would like to stock up on 1 month passes and load them as "needed."

You can, it's just not as good of a deal as it was initially. If you have an active Game Pass subscription, you can by Live Gold and convert it but 3 months of Live Gold will come out to roughly 50 days of Game Pass Ultimate.
I just topped off my active subscription until August 2026 during this deal. I've had an active subscription since this deal in 2019.

To be safe, you should extend your GPU sub using XBL Gold codes while it still works. 3 months XBL Gold converts into 50 days GPU. As others in this thread have already mentioned, CDKeys and Eneba sell 3 month XBL Gold codes for cheap.

Just did $115 for 2 years of ultimate. Would recommend doing the conversion deals instead.
