It depends how your kid uses it.
They can either use it as little building blocks or if they watch number blocks they will use them to count. My 3.5 year old loves number blocks so he builds them like on the show (same colors and stuff) and counts them and adds them together while counting out loud.

Either way, these are one of his favorite things to play with. Though every kid is different.

Edit - I just noticed it said 5-7 years old. I'd probably recommend for 3-5 years old. But again... every kid is different.

My son is autistic and these are one of our favorites to use in our math lessons. The click when you connect and disconnect also serves his sensory needs. I like the idea of issuing the cards to match the patterns. I'll probably make my own to have extra designs. In for one, thank you!

i think labeling this as "STEM" is a bit of a a stretch.

I think the guided cards to match shape and count are what makes it STEM? That concept is cool but I do wish it comes with more flash cards.

Maybe this will help my dumb 14 year old learn to count.
