These are actually quite dangerous if not up to snuff. I fell from one thank goodness the rope started tearing slowly so I was able to get my footing. If left out they start to deteriorate and are not safe after a while.

In for one. Reviews seem to show the rope sliding out of the grooves on the spreader bar, one reviewer used hose clamps, which would totally work! I'm going to permanently install it so will probably glue them.

Hey did anyone notice on the fourth picture when they shown a chain, hook and a plastic anchor ? I don't know about your house....I'm sure 80% of your house don't have cement ceiling. I can see some idiot will use this anchor on a sheetrock ceiling and not hitting a ceiling joist exactly center. This anchor will not hold up much .

So what you want to do is put a gutted smoke detector over the location of a ceiling stud. Then you can attach a rope/chain to the stud to hang the chair. When your are finished you close the smoke detector and anyone that happens to visit wont see anything unusual.
A friend told me this I am innocent I swear.
