For shakes/smoothies that have thicker solids that will separate after time. Heterozygous mixtures that need to be occasion blended again.
Protein shakes really come to mind the most here.

Their claim on the Blendjet 2 is that it's 5x more powerful than this version. I also don't get the purpose of a 12oz capacity. That seems awfully small for blending anything outside of a small protein shake.

You could blend an amount of water with all of the powder you need. Then when done and you pour it out into a cup, you can use the remaining necessary water for your drink to semi-rinse out the blender and add that to your drink (simplifying clean up a little).

This would have been great for when I worked at Comcast where they had a gym in the building.

Camping, perhaps? Using this with a larger capacity power bank, and freshly picked fruits makes sense to me.
