Depending on where you live (and that's probably most places in the US planting cooler grass - e.g. Tall Fescue), Fall is the best time to plant this so that it can take root before winter cold sets in and the grass goes dormant.

If you plant in the spring, it will grow and look good early (May/June) but the grass will be too young to survive the summer heat when it kicks in. Starting in July/Aug the new grass will struggle and most of it will not survive the summer heat.

Again, FALL (Sept/Oct) is the best time to plant cool season grasses.

For those of you in some part of the country, be aware this grass will look like weed on your existing lawn. If you are in upper West Coast, for example Tall Fescue will look out of place on your lawn because it's much thicker than your typical lawn grass.

I'm getting two different issues. The 20 lb bags are $80 and the 10 lb bags are zero even though there are more than 19,000 available at the warehouse.

Don't believe the HD online inventory. Showed zero for my local store on LI but they have a dozen or so in the shelf. Rang up as full price though.
