I have had this audio interface for a few years. It's decent but problematic with various connection issues and the build quality is poor when you compare it to the standard entry level product: focusrite scarlett. On the plus side, the big volume button on the top is useful, it has a relatively nice form factor, and the Native Instruments support has actually been good.

At the price if you want a cheap audio interface it may be worth getting, but finding a third gen focusrite scarlett (which are being discounted given the fourth gen is coming out) may be a better option.

Had one of these as well, installing the drivers would brick it for me (sound only coming out of one ear) really frustrating experience

On the quality end, Focusrite is the better choice, for higher $$. On the slicker side, Beringer's work fine, and you get more for your money. If you're not in urgent need, prices have typically dropped in November. You can probably find a decent 2x2 around $50, a 4x2 around $75, and a 4x4 around $100, then.
