I found this game to be wholly unsatisfying to play. The puzzle aspect is neat, but the payoff is lame because of how quickly the metal ball travels through the "solution." You drop it in the top and almost instantly it zooms to the bottom. I guess if you find knowing you did the solution satisfying enough, but I would have enjoyed the pieces being wider so the ball took longer to travel down. I ended up returning it.

To each their own, though. Good reviews on Amazon and this is a good price.
That's not the right age for this toy. Level 2 problems start getting challenging even for 10-12 year olds. Putting the marble in is just a way to validate the solution, the actual game is building structures to solve the problems.

This is a really fun game. It's worth $20 but no more because it's short. I wish they would've added expansion packs to this game for that reason.

At this price, I suggest buying 2 so you can make a bigger "puzzle" since it feels kind of limited after awhile. It's great just to leave out on the coffee table & have passersby give it a go.

These are at local Goodwill stores constantly for under $5, very YMMV but common here. They also tend to be complete or clearly not used much.

DON'T BUY THIS...
It's a dumb cheap toy. It will not make your kids smarter..

I got this for my 4 and 6 year old years ago and it was only interesting for 2 hours. I donated to Goodwill after.

You put the marble in and less than a second it's done. No matter how complicate you set it up, it will end in 1 second.

Not sure why so many good reviews. That photo of a big kid playing this has to be on the short bus... Applause

My daughter hated this. Needless to say, it was never touched again.

I know I didn't list what we did. We did played the game multiple times. The marble building only took 20 minutes. This is not a deep learning toy...

Most of the reviews here are talking about how quickly reaching the ball reaches the target. I think you missed the point. This game is more about the time your kid spent reaching the solution without looking at the back of the card, of course with your cues. I actually printed the front of the cards on a paper to keep the solution away for a bit so that kid developed a habit of not looking at the solution while arriving at the solution. That helps with developing problem solving skills. I got it for my 4 yo (mistake buy) and he eventually liked it after playing a few cards. He's now 6 and at the end of intermediate level. Good luck with the buy. It might become an interesting or boring one to your kid, and it also depends on how you present the game.

Aptly spoken. It appears a lot of people didn't understand the game and built the structures looking at the solution side. Depending on the kids interests and age this can be quite engaging or hard/boring. I wish they had a better way to cheer the kids once a challenge is solved.
