This is a great price. If you made something similar from scratch it would cost more.

This is pretty cool and very well reviewed. Will give this a go to do various projects in the garage without annoying the wife using the kitchen counters anymore

I've been looking for one of these because I have a horrible habit of leaving my 8' workbench cluttered with unfinished projects.

felt i could just keep the table-top for my standing-desk frame.
There are cheaper 2'x4' pieces of table top out there. I thought about using this as a standing desk just mounted to the wall. I only stand and occasionally sit on a bar stool at my desk so I have no use for height adjustment.

Amazon sells the folding braces and SD has had deals on the work surface before.

If not in a hurry you could build two for the price of one.

Are you better off building a bench by yourself or buying one?
A bench that folds up, out of the way when not in use in a place like a garage where there is already a path only a couple feet wide to walk around cars, etc?

In for 5. I just opened a dog training, boarding, and daycare facility and need shelfs like this in all our rooms. I was looking at making something similar, but at this price, I can't beat it!!!!

I'm currently working on 2 of these in my garage as my home office desk. I was trying to get everything in my garage on either wheels or mounted to the wall. They are perfect. Mounting two side by side can be a little bit of a challenge to get a perfect seam. I did my best and then loosened the screws on the side that was slightly lower, then used a flat metal bracket to connect the two on the bottom and be perfectly flush. Used a small shim between the bottom of the table and top of bracket and tightened it back up. I leave it folded up 99.9% of the time. If you do this and connect them with a bracket, just know you have to activate 4 of the latches to unfold, so it might take 2 people?

This was exactly my thought. More surface area just means more unfinished projects. Like folks who get storage units only to fill their closets/garage/basement with more crap.

Will those 24" brackets support 500lb?

I think his point is that you probably can't make this yourself cheaper, so buy the Husky.
