1800R curvature so

C=2πr=2·π·1800mm≈11309.mm circumference

Panel is 1194mm wide so (pretending the width spec is not measured in a straight line corner to corner) 11309/1194 = 9.5 (9.471) panels to make a circle.

Thanks! I've been eyeing this since the last front page deal from several months back. I've been looking for a 49" super ultrawide for quite a while but there hasn't been much out there that interests me especially when looking at Samsung's QC issues, burn-in concerns with OLED, and high cost and poor contrast/low refresh rate of most IPS screens. I do wish it had USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, and a higher curvature but you can't have everything. I don't expect this monitor to wow me but for $680 for a 49" 1440p 165 Hz monitor that's generally well received, this is pretty good value.

Very tempting as one of my flat 27" Samsungs is acting up..

I wonder how many it would take to form a complete circle?

Seems like a decent price but for a single monitor setup I would rather have more curve the the 1000r Samsung Odyssey.

I want to replace my dual monitor home office set up. Does this big screen work well as a split dual screen for say outlook and excel, and other office applications or is this more of a use case for gamers etc.?

You can virtually "split" the monitor using an app called Powertools, so it will be identical to two side by side monitors, except no bezels in the middle blocking the screen.

It works great for the office use case. This resolution divides pretty cleanly into three full side by side windows, which may be overkill for your use case. Personally I love it because there's no bezel between the screens, and it's often useful for me to increase a window from one monitor to two monitor width (e.g., a large spreadsheet)

Simple, buy the Samsung G9, its also 49 inch but with the greater curvature, it is measured only 45 inch across.

What is the actual screen dimensions though? I use a 40" 4k TV for my pc. I've been looking at a curved 1440p (my eyes really don't see much difference from 1440 to 4k) but losing out on the vertical real estate just for more horizontal...I just don't know.
Get another screen for the vertical. I have the Samsung 49 on the bottom and the LG C2 on the top for media consumption.
