The interest you lose out on by tying up your funds in this is really close to the bonus amount. This was worth doing when rates were under 3%, but I wouldn't do this today

1% for 60 days, about 6% APY. Not much better than buying T-bill.

Depends on which one you do. The $750 and $300 bonus are worth it

What business has $200,000 cash to tie up after years of pandemic for 60 days?

Really even the $300 for tying up $5000 is a stretch.

This is a scam. I opened a new account 2 weeks ago at the branch, and they cannot activate the promotion on the spot. The next day they told me that the promotion was activated, and the check was cashed, but my account was blocked. A few days later they told me that my account was closed for a fraud reason and I need to contact my bank in order for me to get my money back.

This is why I don't do any business checking bonuses. The risk of getting blacklisted by a major bank is too high.

I don't have much banking experiences but I do have some experiences with many big banks such as Chase, Wells Fargo, etc. and I've never had any issues such as the one I have with Citibank.

One more thing I learn from my experience is that the banker doesn't communicate by email to their client so that there's no written statement recorded with their client. They always prefer to communicate over the phone which is not recorded.

I can only confirm this behavior with the branch where I opened my new account.

So please be extra careful.
