$74 is pretty cheap to begin with for a 70cfm, 2 Sones fan. This one has a humidity sensor so $58 is pretty slick, IMO.

Do you reply to all deals posted that aren't 50% off?
It doesn't really make sense to compare discounts equally across the board. A lot of products have fake MSRPs designed to discount, which is what it seems you are used to. A bathroom fan is typically sold at a pretty competitive price every day. This is the lowest it's been since July 2021, so it's definitely a slick deal.

Also, are you suggesting they should discount these deeply because it takes actual work to install? That's... not how things work.
If I'm already in the market for one, 20% off is way better than 0% off that nobody posts about. Thanks OP.

Is 20% off really a slickdeal? IMO SD's START at 50% off.

Esp considering all the work it would take to replace a bath fan.

So, Does this only turn on when it senses humidity? What about when you need to get rid of smells?

Great if you want to rely on the sensor. But if you need to make a stinkie, well, you're out of luck.

I like using my fan to block out sound and smell. Pair it with a countdown timer switch when I shower, and it's close to perfect.

How difficult is it to replace an exhaust fans like this for someone who has limited experience working around the house?

Depends on how big your current fan is. I suggest watching some YouTube videos

The job itself doesn't require a ton of skill, but removing the old (anything) is likely going be problematic / expose you to "surprises". Having some fix-it experience is helpful in knowing how to deal with what you find. Plan on a whole day and a maybe a few trips to Home Depot. If it goes easier than that, then count yourself lucky and enjoy the rest of your day.

FYI I'm replacing an old fan (which I installed > 15 years ago) with this one. Even though I installed it, I'm expecting it to be a little bit of a PITA because of the minimal room to move in the attic (which I'm guessing is going to be easier than trying to do it from within the house).
