The first set had some white powder, mold or something on them and it wouldn't wipe off. I'm not sure what it was or how they could even ship something that looked that bad. On a pair of 45s that I just received one of the metal grips was gashed in and had several sharp edges to it. So I've had two returns in dumbbells ranging from 5-60lbs. I really haven't had any that smelled really strong.

It's continuously been this price throughout the year on and off. You could wait for a bit lower, but $1 per pound is a solid deal, and these are solid dumbbells

It's continuously been this price throughout the year on and off. You could wait for a bit lower, but $1 per pound is a solid deal, and these are solid dumbbells

I've been ordering several of these over the past few months. Most are great but I've had a few that I had to return in to Walmart. Also if you do take them back they will not let you exchange them in the store so you have to reorder them. Great price and most are great.

Have bunch of these love the grips. Only issue with the rubber coated weights as the larger ones (mine go to 105 pounds) they get rather big, a lot bigger than the non rubber coated.
