Seems like a good deal compared to ooni as this can make 15" pizzas. I still have the old version of black stone pizza oven that has the motorized turning stone. Haven't used it in awhile but worked great when we did

I own an Ooni knockoff and another pizza oven that was purchased from Italy before Ooni, Roccbox and others became ubiquitous.

I love Blackstone and everything they make, but if I were looking for one of these now I'd look at some of the Ooni knockoffs on Amazon. I've seen them in the low 100's and in Warehouse situations below 100. The knockoff that I have works like a charm. I've used Ooni's and while I don't think it measures up 100% for the price it does just fine. It pales in comparison to my other oven, but that sucker is a completely different (and far less mobile) animal.

Any in particular? I have a wood fire and would love to try a propane one

Looks like the one I have doesn't exist anymore, but it's identical to this:

The reviews on Amazon are mixed. The truth is it's not as good as an Ooni - it's uneven, with temperature flares towards the back of the oven. I'd also suggest you don't open the regular wide open and just let it run for an hour, otherwise you might come back to the thing having completely melted down.

For the money though, if you're willing to rotate your pies while they cook so they are more evenly baked, I think it's good. It gets hot enough to make a decent neopolitan, and the cooking isn't so uneven that it's problematic.

I got a particularly good price but, honestly, if you want to do neopolitan style pizzas on a budget, keep an eye out for used Roccboxe or Ooni ovens on FB Marketplace. I picked up a used Roccbox with two preforated peels and the additional wood burner attachment for $275. That's nearly $800 worth of oven and accessories if bought new.

Got some dough going 4 days before because I'd intended on using my DoJoe pizza oven attachment for my Kamado Joe the same evening I saw it pop up on Marketplace, made two pizzas with it that night and they were absolutely excellent.

Try the Cap'N cook pizza cooker and salamander oven butterfly broiler in One. Unbelievable results from pizza OR steaks or seafood. Great built quality and it's actually portable.

Sounds like you don't know this, so I'll point it out - most people don't make Neopolitan pizzas at home. Further, I don't know what kind of rinky dink oven that does hit 800F+ needed to make one actually rotates the stone, but most of your better ovens aren't in that category for sure.

For someone looking to make basic NY/Detroit or cracker crust pies at home, this will more than do.

You're incorrect. I have this oven & it definitely goes past 800⁰. Bakes the best Neapolitan pie in seconds.

This is model 6961 reg price, $274. Its being discontinued and replaced by model 6964 which has the stainless steel front. People have bought the 6961 for as low as $120. I've seen it in my local Walmart for $136. YMMV.
