This is actually a pretty nice printer. They fixed most of the issues that came out at launch. I think the perception of it being bad is still lingering from all the terrible reviews from influencers.

I haven't had any issues with their customer service, I just refused delivery on a printer and they promptly refunded. Few people on reddit have stated it has been a nightmare for them.
I went through 2 of K1s (before they made fixes) and 1 K1 Max, which supposedly had all issues of K1 fixed, but all 3 had issues.
MAX was the most consistent, but I was afraid of printing large prints as it crapped out on me few times, more than half way into an 8+ hr print. So not just influencers perception, but actual users as well.
General consensus is that it's not as good as Bambu, but it's also much cheaper on sale. If I had a microcenter nearby I'd jump on it. Supposedly a headache upfront but once you get it dialed in, it's amazing.
I bought two K1's in May and they worked great when they worked but both had thermal heating errors after 2 weeks and I spent a ton of hours trying to fix them. Got a full refund for both through PayPal. Personally I would not recommend them… I owned a Cr-10 max too and I had to replace every part on it. Creality just can't offer quality
I just bought a K1 max for work to print a large number of parts to modify our equipment to run a new product. I have about a decade of printing experience with lots of print time on half a dozen distinct printers and this is by far the best and easiest experience I've had out of the box. The app, slicer, and cloud services are a little finicky but the quality of PLA prints has been exceptional and fast. From what I've heard, I expect the app to get better as Creality gears up to better compete with Bambu Lab.
I haven't had a single PLA print fail, however, I've had many failures while getting the PA-GF to print nicely. I attribute those mostly to the difficulty of printing with nylon and getting it to stick reliably without warping. I think I have it mostly dialed in.
I can't speak directly to the K1 but if it's anything like the Max I'd definitely be willing to give it a go.
Soon they'll be giving them away. I've never seen a printer get massacred this badly shortly after its release. I've seen it as low as $390 already. Hell, the last gen Ender 5 s1 is selling for more at most places. I almost feel bad for Creality. Almost.
They deserve it. Creality have screwed over many customers.

Edit: Sorry the Micro Center deal is on the K1, not the K1 Speedy like this one
Edit again: I think this is the same product. There is no "Speedy" listed on the Creality site. It's K1 or K1 Max
