thats not my point. i just commented on his "newest" on the title. trying to advertise an inferior product.

and yes, you can get it for under $82 on aliexpress like someone mentioned on some other threads last week.

Almost bought it, but then saw the N100 version with 16GB of RAM and 500GB drive for $50 more so I bought that instead. Also has WIFI 6 and BT 5.2.

It's probably guaranteed they phone home somewhere, would have to sniff the traffic for a week as a precaution. I trust these as much as I trust import android set top boxes, which is I don't trust them at all.

You can't. Not easily at least. I've been tracking the prices on n95 PCs for over a month now on both aliexpress and Amazon. They did have a pretty steep discount in August which I missed Frown

N100 for $145

N95 for $114

N100 for $108 but no storage, just add your NVME stick

They had Superdeals for this early morning today but only 4 items of each unit, so they get sold like really quickly

Looks like 256 GIG ssd is going for 110. I bought the exact model a few months ago for 130$ Frown. Seems fine for web surfing and office work. The N100/N95 will be better if you plan to play emulation or early 2000s pc games.

really stupid question... but what is the best use for these types of machines? I have a couple of laptops and gaming desktops to serve most of my needs, but I figured I'd ask what most of you would use these small machines for.

Not a stupid question. They're generally popular for homelabbing. A gaming example would be running a custom minecraft server, a non-gaming example would be running your own file-backup service. You don't need huge amounts of compute for those and they don't even need to be connected to a monitor. They use very little power and take up very little space.

Great for running VM servers like ProxMox or security applications like Qubes OS, where you want a dedicated-purpose box but don't need (or want in some cases) for it to be mobile. For the newer ryzen mini PCs like the Beelink SER 6 Max, you can also use it for light-to-medium gaming as well in a very small form factor.

have owned several Beelink mini PCs and they are one of the best lower-cost OEMs in this space.
