Eneloop AAA 8-pack $17.19

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1

According to CCC, this is the lowest it's been since the start of the year.

EDIT: Corrected my comment about CCC price history. But still the lowest it's been since earlier this year.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This pops up regularly but AFAIK, only the first few batches of IKEAs were eneloop equivalent, then (after probably creating the reputation they wanted), they switched back to some lower quality ones, classic mid term bait and switch. I don't have the info off hand, but if you plan on byuing the LADDA, don't go on old or re-baked youtube reviews. Just my 2c
Laddas sold in the US are made in Japan and are precharged, low self discharge.

Only one factory in Japan makes LSD batteries.
Yeah, since March these spiked in price for whatever reason and now they're just back to the normal ~$17 that they were for years.
This ain't a slickdeal but if you need 'em now, this ain't a "ripoff" price either.
Please don't upvote this and normalize inflation (but thanks to OP just the same, effort is appreciated).

I lose them in seasonal accessories, like battery powered Christmas lights and those stuffed animatronics. Then I find them again the next year, once I realize the batteries still in them.
That beats finding old Alkaline batteries with leaking corrosion in the dancing Santa LOL, and the left-in Eneloop would probably still have a working charge.

Are these batteries any good for a solar powered outdoor light?

Exactly....any Eneloop battery deal more than $2 a battery is NOT a SD.

Yes, Eneloops are ideal batteries for a solar powered light due to their ability for multiple charge/discharge cycles. Only if you can get for less than $2 a battery though....

"normalize inflation"

Lmao what? Dude, it exists whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
Perhaps you misread. I didn't say inflation doesn't exist.
WE are half of the equation that determines price (consumers are demand, manufacturers are supply). They can only charge what we're willing to pay (for non-essentials).
All I said was don't fall into the FOMO (fear of missing out) and spend money on something you don't need now because 1) you're not really missing out at this price and 2) artificial demand will send the message that they can keep the prices high.
As long as we keep putting up with insane price gouging, they'll keep doing it, it's that simple.
If a company could charge $1000 for a $1 battery, they certainly would.
Have a good day.

My BC700 and BC1000 from 10+ years ago are still going strong. If I had to replace them now, I'd probably go with a Tenergy TN456 [amazon.com], Opus BT-C2400 [amazon.com], or possibly the cheaper SkyRC NC1500 [amazon.com] as a comparable unit that's available.
I decided to get the Nitecore SC4 I will get it tomorrow.

Interesting choice. The ability to charge different chemistries is a bonus, but you do lose all of the advanced features (at least for NiMH batteries) of the other units (battery break-in, test, refresh, etc.)

I keep a compact 2 cell version Nitecore for charging on the go, but the advanced features are definitely nice at home.

Get out of here with your lame straw man argument. You don't understand this industry. Go look up actual tests on these IKEA batteries and eneloops. They are the same.
I'm gonna guess that IKEA and other white labels gets the factory seconds, the ones that don't pass Eneloop's QA standards.
