A73 is an 8 bit camera ( for video) A7CII is 10 bit camera, that itself would be a big reason to upgrade ( apart from new sensor and AI tech). If you're not much into video and mostly stills then you're fine with your current.
But you lose dual slot, and compared to the a7 IV, lower resolution EVF and lower battery life, due to the AI-powered AF that debuted with the a7r V (and not on the a7 IV). But the AI AF is great and the a7c II has a higher rated IBIS.
They did better with this generation, but my only qualm is that due to the a7 cameras being on the smaller side already, this doesn't add that much of a size/weight savings; it just chops off the EVF hump and converts it into a rangefinder. But that's subjective and may still be worth the weight and size savings for many.
a7c II vs a7 IV doesn't have much difference, but the a7c R is a harder sell vs the a7r V. The EVF resolution on the a7r C is way lower, and the back LCD as well.
