To everyone asking which one is better between XS and Ananda Stealth, I have both.
They are both amazing headphones. Both offer mind blowing Soundstage, clarity and bass (for an open back). Anandas are a little bit more higher frenquency focused and the XS have a little better bass response. Other than that, sound quality is really good on both and you can barely tell the difference. For gaming, the Anandas are superior since they are easier to drive with the ps5 controller (although I use Qudelix amp/dac plugged to the console and it sounds way better.)
The real big difference is comfort and build quality which the Ananda wins by a pretty big margin. I pick up more my Anandas just because of that. Comfort in headphones is something that alot of people take for granted, but using a headphone for 2-6 hours straight, really plays a big role.
At this price, the Anandas are the superior end game headphones for the price. I wouldn't think it twice..

Is it better than Edition XS? There's a refurb one going for $329 - which one is a better value for money?
This was my question before too. The refurb sales got me to buy the $329 Edition XS but I did notice the Ananda sale as the technically slightly more expensive product on paper and not being refurbished. The Ananda doesn't seem to get as much attention as the XS, Sundara, or Arya. Though the price gap seems to have closed with the XS bit and individuals preferred head strap seem to get a lot of the attention. Just looking at the response curve alone the XS looks a little more linear and extends into the lower base a bit more without dropping off but this doesn't give a full picture.

So I just received my Arya Organic ($1300) and only been able to listen for a few hours so far. It sounds great but my problem is I cannot seem to hear much of a difference between Arya Organic and the Edition XS. I WANT to hear something better but so far it's just not happening. I much prefer the build quality, comfort, and looks of the Arya Organic.
I'm brand new to the game and have been buying and testing out several models. I'm using a Schiit Modius/Magnius Stack (started with Topping DX3 Pro). I have a RME ADI 2 coming tomorrow to test it out.
I have tried the Focal Clear MG and Sennheiser HD800s and so far prefer the Hifiman sound profile better as of now. I actually like the XS more than HD800 and least favorite was the Clear MG (not great separation and weaker soundstage). So when I purchased the Arya Organic I expected an improvement over the XS in sound quality. Only improvement so far is the aforementioned build quality, comfort, and looks.
So XS is amazing value for the money considering I am testing against $1300-$1800 headphones and it holds up very well with that competition.

Have you tried Ananda Stealth version? How does it compare to Edition XS?

What is your music source and are you equalizing any of the headphones?
What is your music source and are you equalizing any of the headphones?
I am using Spotify. I also have Tidal for another 2 months but I also heard absolute no difference between Spotify and Tidal using the same songs after many hours of going back and forth. I prefer Spotify due to the music discoverability (discover weekly and release radar). I know Spotify has gotten heat for not offering hifi even though they have promised it for past 3 years. If you can tell a difference can you recommend me a specific song and particular timeframe in the song I should pay more attention too?
I am not equalizing either of the headphones during my testing but I have tried it using Equalizer APO and prefer the stock sound.
Are there any comparable price-performance pairs of headphones to these at this sale price? This is a much more approachable price than some other audiophile headphones out there. And what would be the next step or two up?
Edit: Rtings shows these as extremely comparable to HD 800S…can someone clarify how these are or are not that good for 1/3 to 1/4 of the price?
