Slickdeals posters need to stop inflating the "original" price in their title. It's bad form.
They are both amazing headphones. Both offer mind blowing Soundstage, clarity and bass (for an open back). Anandas are a little bit more higher frenquency focused and the XS have a little better bass response. Other than that, sound quality is really good on both and you can barely tell the difference. For gaming, the Anandas are superior since they are easier to drive with the ps5 controller (although I use Qudelix amp/dac plugged to the console and it sounds way better.)
The real big difference is comfort and build quality which the Ananda wins by a pretty big margin. I pick up more my Anandas just because of that. Comfort in headphones is something that alot of people take for granted, but using a headphone for 2-6 hours straight, really plays a big role.
At this price, the Anandas are the superior end game headphones for the price. I wouldn't think it twice..

My RME ADI-2 DAC is coming tomorrow which has lots of built in EQ and PEQ options built into the unit itself. Excited to try it to see if it's a good replacement for my Schiit Modius/Magnius.

I need something comfortable and easy to take on and off quickly in an office environment. I think over ear closed back dynamics might be more my bag though.
IEMs tickle my inner Slickdealer, however they are a pain to fit "just right" and a pain if you have to put them on and take them off a lot, ie in an office environment.
My audio trip history:
Sennheiser HD202, my first pair of headphones that were better than airline headphones, lol.
ATH-M50x, pads fell apart. Loved em because I didn't know any better.
Sennheiser HD560s, returned, with a Q5K. Over ear is soooo much more comfortable than the on ear cans of the M50x. Needed the eq and amp though, I'm a basshead and the Harman curve just doesn't cut it for me.
Hifiman Sundaras, returned. These are power hungry guys! Had to get balanced cables for 4v goodness with the Q5k. Tad more comfortable and smoother than the 560s. The Sundaras were my first pair of headphones that didn't feel cheap nor throw aways.
Current gear:
Kiwi Cadenza $35 IEMs, with $110 Q5k amp/eq. These are amazing pieces of kit!!! The dollar to sound return is through the friggen roof! Fidelity was so great (after tweaking with the Q5k) that I ended up returning the HD560s and Sundras.
Galaxy Buds Pro. Came as a free pack in with a laptop purchase. Surprisingly dam good fidelity. They are my current gym/running audio solution since nobody got time for wires on the go.
-edit, interdasting, they make a closed back version of the Sundaras and they are only $229 at Amazon, f it, ordered
