Thanks for the tip. I did use paypal. I'm just going to remove Paramount right now from Automatic Payments through Paypal.

For those unaware on how to do it. On the web, Log into Paypal.com
1) Click Gear icon on the top right corner (Settings)
2) Click Payments
3) Scroll down and click "Automatic Payments"
4) Left side should say "Show Active", go ahead and click on Paramount+
5) On the right side click "Cancel"
6) Pop up click "Cancel Automatic Payments"
7) Left side, it'll show as Inactive, click "Show Active" and double check

If you have other stuff you don't want authorized to automatically deduct, go ahead remove them.

Edit - Still Put a reminder around December 1st to cancel from Paramount+'s website anyways even if you removed from Paypal. Your sub should be until December 9th if you did this today (9/9/2023)

Thanks, worked on existing account that was inactive & got the one with Showtime. Cancelled immediately and gave me an offer for 2 Free months which i accepted. Now, i have Siri to remind me to cancel on December 1st. As, i remember if you cancel the free 2 months offer immediately, it goes away and you're just stuck with the 1 month.

Edit - As a few have mentioned they got billed after their 1st month, please use Paypal and check my instructions on my post below or Click Here To Jump To It

This web site keeps a list of working updated code for Paramount+. Whenever I need a code I go there. I've been using these 1 month free code for over a year and a half.

Quote from Honest-IJM :
Be careful, I did the same thing a few months ago, and they tried to bill me after the first month. Thankfully, due to the warnings of others, I used Paypal as the payment method and went on Paypal to disable automatic payments to paramount after making the initial subscription. So all the attempts to charge me for the "free" 2 extra months have failed.

Even following the instructions , your sub will likely be to Oct 9 and not Dec 9. - it just may a little longer than Oct 9 for non pmt. The extended 2 mo is BS. It is not BS on Sportsline deals (which included P+) though which has worked well.

Note: I have the same thing (2 faux free months) on my account which started Aug 23, says expires Nov 23. I'll try to remember and post back here what happens on Sep 23

Paramount is the worst streaming service I've ever tried...
  • It won't save your progress between devices, or sometimes even on the same device. It still thinks I'm on episode 2 for The Stand after I've watched 6...
  • It crashes randomly
  • Image freezes randomly and audio continues.
Even if it were 100% free, I honestly think it's not worth the hassle.
it saves my progress for me? I use apple tv and my iphone. 🤷🏻 ♂️

Got 3 months free. Signed up with redeem30 for the first month and then went back into my account to cancel the subscription to keep it from renewing. When I hit cancel, they offered me two additional months free. So my next renewal date is now December 9. I'll take it. Thanks OP.

It should be noted that if you use the offer to get 2 additional months free when you try to cancel, you can't cancel your subscription right away or you lose the additional free months. I will just set a phone reminder to cancel the subscription a week before it rebills.
