Love this headset. I use this for both work and gaming. Connectivity to both Bluetooth and dongle are seamless and have never experienced connection drops in either environment. Battery life is great, I generally get two full days of work/gaming before needing to charge and it tops up quickly. You also don't need to install software to get it to work and found it rather gimmicky as all you get is Sonar which I didn't find to provide any meaningful gain in acoustics or sound.

As a plus, buy yourself a magnetic detachable cable so you can quickly connect/disconnect the headset from the power source to preserve the USB c port

I have the 7x for my Xbox in the living room, and 7+ for my laptop in my office. They are super comfy, and don't get sweaty like leather headsets do.

They may not sound soundproof with no audio on, but my wife does get mad that I can't hear anything… so they definitely do work 😂

Steel Series hardware quality is crap. Make sure to use a cc that will extend warranty or get the extended amazon warranty. They tend to always break at the earcups. Still, by far my favorite headset.

Don't forget the warranty! These headsets tend to break fast. Magnetic usb cable definitely also a must.

For years I was adamant against getting headphones, as I didn't want to waste my nice Dolby Atmos surround sound setups I had for gaming. I battled people complaining about my low quality earbuds I would use for comms frequently, but still I held firm. I wasn't willing to sacrifice my quality setup just to appease some online losers (and real life friends too, but for this purpose, they are also an online loser).
I got these about a year ago a few months after moving to a new spot and being forced to share office space with my open air rack of server and network equipment, and I have been loving them ever since. I don't even think about my surrounds in my office anymore. And my teammates no longer hear the fans of my supersonic jet servers.
When I put these on, I get lost in whatever world I'm playing on at the moment. My girlfriend often calls and says "You didn't hear me yelling your name?" Or, "You don't hear the dog barking at your door?" "You didn't hear those gunshots?" And I happily reply every time, "No. I didn't hear anything. I had my headphones on."

The Bluetooth and wireless connections work flawlessly together. No more having to juggle headsets when unexpected calls come in while gaming online. I can also play music or podcasts from my phone and control the audio levels easier while using the headset to still listen to my game and communicate with my squad.

So, in short, since buying these headphones, my life has improved drastically - my hair has been growing, my skin has been glowing, my booty has been popping, and the ladies (and even men) have been beating at my door non-stop (and not just to tell me to turn down my surround sound)! 11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Trying to compare these to the 7p+ that I have but can't find much info. Are these similar but just multi platform capable?

Had the Corsair Virtuoso for $99, factory refurbished [corsair.com]and I ordered those. Are these better? This comparison [versus.com] seems to suggest they are not.
No opinion on this headset. However, I just bought the virtuosos a few weeks back and plan on returning them. The sound and build quality is fantastic. The downside is they just don't fit my head snug enough. Any little movement and I'm constantly having to readjust the headset due to how loose they fit and their weight. The other con for me is the headset starts cutting out 10-15 away when my crappy turtle beach headphones work fine one floor up from my basement.

This shows you the differences, i decided the "like-new" Nova 7X from Amazon for $85 was worth the upgrade from the 7+ I bought earlier this year. https://steelseries.com/blog/whic...nova-7-873

I got the "like-new" Nova 7X today and it was BRAND NEW, including all the accessories and documentation in factory unused condition, but came in a sealed bag instead of the original box.

I posted elsewhere. Check out the used listings of these on Amazon. A seller is selling for $85 used like new. I got one from there. Great deal.
