My parents need a center speaker for better clarity on dialogue in movies and TV.
Would this speaker work well paired with a couple old Polk Monitor 30 Series II bookshelf soeakers? Or should I buy another Polk so they match?
I figure anything is better than the TV speakers they are using now…
Polk CS2 in that case if you can find one. Generally best to keep LCR in the same family, especially given than the klipsch will be much harsher than those polks.

Yeah… I paired an older version of this speaker with some Infinity floor speakers, dialog is much crisper and defined than my old center channel. I personally think the Klipsch's brightness helps a lot with dialog.

I set my girlfriend up with some nice Klipse speakers. I found them slightly harsh on my ears. I have sensitive hearing and I'm a little deaf. Basically old people hearing. then I got myself two Polk center speakers on sale, and set them up sideways like book shelf speakers. Polk speakers have circuitry to make their centers speakers give good clarity with dialogue. I love my poke speakers. I wish I bought one more center speaker so I had a center speaker. I would go with pork for your parents if you can pull it off.
Avoid like plague. It's horrendous for audio as it's muffled and lacks clarity for dialog. Spend twice as much and get model RP250C and thank me later. This is just a shill post and an advertisement. You've been warned.

The klipsch have pretty harsh falloff off axis though so if not aimed at a sofa or something I'd get something without the horn tweeter.
Budget soundboard probably work as well.
