I have a 18-55mm for my T7i... I need something that is more wide angle to show more landscape environment in limited space... I am assuming this isn't it... Any recommendations on the kind of lens I should look at for this purpose?

Surprised the 18mm isnt enough? You could get a prime fish eye. Or a more dedicated wise angle in the 16-35 range. The 24mm is nice of this if you stop it down at f4+, otherwise there is softness around the edges.

I have a Tokina atx-pro 11-20 F2.8 (IF) DX. It's fantastic for that purpose, and is my most-used lens. There's a newer version now and it sounds like it's just as good. I think you can find them new for ~$450, and used about $250, just make sure you look for the canon mount one.
Alternatively, the Canon 10-18 F3.5-5.6 STM is also supposed to be very good, but F-stop isn't as wide open for low light.

Thanks guys.... it is for lower light/night shooting under the fake lights....
Since this is for sports video shooting, maybe I should just use the money to get a camcorder instead that doesnt have the 30 min limit and shoots at higher res and FPS, seems like this extras $$$ is being wasted down the drain, I hardly even use this camera for shooting photos anymore.
