Shows 80$ per month for 1 gig and not 55$
Says add wireless to get additional 20$
$80-$20 = $60
AT&T fiber requires you to use their "gateway" which is their modem/router combo. I never was able to get good wireless speeds with it, it limits how many devices can connect to it, and I only got the 1gigabit speeds when hardwired. Running your own wireless router is actually handicapped in IP passthrough mode, so you need to do a trick with a dumb ethernet switch to bypass the gateway completely.

Also I'm guessing depends on your area varies rate like mine $80 for 1gig speed compare to $55 for 300mbps speed.

I was talking with a rep on the AT&T website on chat. We got to the point of beginning to take payment details and she started directing me to secure portals. I said, wouldn't it be easier if I just complete this all on the main AT&T website now? The rep I assume gets commission for finishing deals so wanted to keep me. At this point she offered to add the hardware bundle to the deal on top of the $250 Visa card if I finished with her.
I was expecting these offers to go missing, so kept a copy of the chat transcript to discuss with AT&T later, but everything worked.
As for the service itself, it's been great. Install was seamless. AT&T provide a good router / modem which provides a good signal in house (though I run my network via Eeros).
I strongly recommend this deal especially if you get the bonus hardware. But anyway without it at $55 it's a good price for 1 gig up and 1 gig down.
how can i cancel service and sign up new? i am okay going through all the trouble.
