I have both the Bissell and IonVac. I think my Bissell was the batch previous (has transparent bin)to the current one for sale though, so not sure if anything else changed in the new model. Also, I use these for hard flooring (vinyl plank and tiles) and it's freaking amazing. Both are light and easy to whip out and use. Amazing for picking up long pieces of hair from the floor. We use this almost every other day for spot maintenance.

IonVac
- Suction feels a lot stronger. It runs a bit louder too.
- Don't know if mine was just faulty but the wheel or something at the bottom squeaks when vac is rolled one way (haven't tried WD 40 yet). Also the handle keeps trying to pop off bc the clasp isn't very strong. A bit annoying.
- has HEPA filter. My Bissell didn't. Difficult to clean filter, don't really know if it's even possible but that machine def vac'ed up a lot of tiny particles because its filter caught so much dust and debris.
- I think the build is overall better, particularly the catch bin. I like the single button that dumps out contents in one go. The Bissell instead has a rubber flap that separates the contents from the outside which doesn't fully seal/close. This means if you vac ants or spiders, it could crawl out. The IonVac is sealed.
- better at standing upright bc it locks. But this it means also locks easily when you've pulled the vac close to you during use. I've had to step on the foot to unlock it several times during use, a bit annoying.
- slightly worse at staying flat when you need to reach below beds/sofa, but the increased suction kinda helps compensate somewhat.
- the slim nozzle accessory is def a perk. The Bissell is too blunt to get into crevices.

Bissell
- Filter is a lot easier to clean bc it's not HEPA or that sophisticated.
- User experience slightly better bc the vac is a bit lighter and easier to roll. Doesn't have the unwanted locking situation but it also is awful at being propped upright and will tip upon slight touch.

End notes: Either model works well. Can't really go wrong with either as they both do the job. But I'd get the IonVac because of its accessories and much cheaper than the Bissell at this time. Also looks a lot better.

Just wanted to say I'm impressed with the performance of this thing. I was looking for a small vacuum and I kept reading that all the wireless were no good. This one seems to be good enough to pick up small paper trims and plastic wrappings. For $20 is a no brainer, just adjust expectations.

I got this last time. Works okay, but you bump that little button that empties the dirt and its all right back on the floor.

You need to buy extra filters? The Bisel doesn't seem to have a HEPA filter to buy.

Silly question…anyone know if this sucks up bugs? We have a shed we converted into a home gym and get a lot of spiders, pillbugs etc. Been looking for a cheap vacuum to clean up in there.

I got one and used it last night. It picked up all the dog hair that were on the hardwood and tile floor with ease. I was very impressed. However, due to not having any "brush" attachment, it wasn't very good at picking up dog hair on my couch. Nevertheless, this $20 vacuum was amazing.

There's a crevice attachment that will allow you to suck up all the bugs. Best yet, you get to see them crawling around in the see-through chamber. The vacuum is very lightweight which will allows you to chase down all crawling invaders.
