The finish isn't really my thing but the specs on this are really nice. Fishman Fluence pickups, Graph Tech tusq nut, push-pull coil split, etc.

Besides that, Schecter makes awesome guitars. I'm hoping the SLS Elite goes on sale.

I love the specs on this, but I feel like the finish will look really dated in a couple of years. That being said, Schecter makes some really great guitars and basses.

I dunno. The finish is pretty subtle. I think it will keep on keepin' on!

What kind of deal can you get if you call in and ask for a better price from a gear advisor?

Nada. It's already on sale, call-in deals only work on non-sale stuff (including price drops). Can still try though.

$.97 clearance pricing. You are not going to get anything a better deal. than this. Most are display models in stores when the pricing goes to $.97. "Going Fast: Limited Stock Available. This item will ship from store and may not arrive in original packaging."

It's coming back. Those 80s crackle finish Squiers are starting to sell for actual dollars, and it's not because they're any good. Besides, boomers don't buy Schecters anyway. They won't touch anything except a tobacco burst P or J bass with flats and a tort pickguard that might have once been in the same building as Leo Fender. Laugh1 Laugh1 Laugh1 Laugh1 Laugh1

Try again. I'm 66 and just ordered one of these yesterday.

That's a great deal, but the availability is even more limited than the C-4.

I received my C-4 today, and it appears to be new. That's what I specified through my Musicisn's Friend sales rep. A few GC locations show more than 1 in stock, and those are dealers that may possibly have a new (non display/demo) bass. My bass showed up in it's original box and although the box was in pretty rough shape the serial number on the box and bass match.

Upon thorough inspection I found a chunk missing out of the finish right in one of the areas where the box was smashed in. I've contacted my rep to find out what my options are. So far no reply.
