They may have meant wary (not completely trusting or certain about something or someone).

These have been the same price on ali express for a while now. But I guess buying from eBay is safer?

I bought one from this exact seller a few months ago to upgrade my Asus Ally. I was a bit weary about buying it from China, but after filling it up with nearly 1.8TB of movies and games as a test, I was still able to access the first files that I copied to it. At least that told me that they weren't faking the reported capacity.

Only difference is this is the price post tax, just a little cheaper but not much.

Yeah these are legit. I bought one for my steam deck a few months back. Still going strong.

it also supports either 512b blocks or 4k blocks, which you can change before you start using it. not all nvme support multiple formats like this one.

Keep in mind that Microsoft Surface PCs come with PCIe3x4 SSDs, and if you install a PCIe4x4 SSD they have a lot of problems with restarts.

Way better deal than eBay, and you actually get a reliable name brand (no telling if the Chinese SSD is really a WD).

I took the Aliexpress gamble on this model SSD and it was OEM and a good price. I've heard that the newness of the 2230 form factor and 2TB capacity makes it unlikely that you'll get a fake. The concern some people have is that there is no warranty from WD for these drives since they're grey market goods. In this case the warranty is from the seller, which is probably useless
