I saw in the Amazon reviews a mention about cracked PCBs on Gigabyte RTX 30xx and 40xx series GPUs. Is this something to be concerned about on this model?

Fair, but when the 7800xt is still $50 cheaper and 6800xt has been seen at stupid low prices this isn't really a deal

Also I highly doubt prices will rise come black Friday. Let's wait and see

And your comment is fair, also. But if one is going to buy a same-tier AMD card for less, they have to be willing to give up the raytracing and DLSS3 that the Nvidia cards have. Which is probaby why the AMD cards are selling for less in the first place.
And you're probably right - there'll be some GPU deals on BF, but I'd bet the number of cards offered will be depleted quickly on the higher-end 'deals'. Nothing like people camping out overnight at Bestbuy to grab an RTX 3080 several years ago, but still.

Do not do that second thing. Aside from being fraud, they know the SN of the card they sold you, and they will check it
Microcenter has an Amazon store. And things are shipped by Amazon. So they're doing brick and mortar plus 3rd party selling. Not sure how to feel about that. They have to price gouge to offset the fees, but they are sending stock to Amazon warehouses that wouldn't be available to buyers that come in the stores.

This is roughly equivalent to a 3080, right? $550 for 3080 performance in 2023 is not even a deal.

If you bought NVDY at the beginning of this month, you'd be out of money.

No supply shortage? Why do you think this is now a dead deal or (good luck) backorder only? Why do you think that prices for 4080 and 4090 boards have stabilized at high levels?
There's just as good a chance that it'll be more expensive come BF, given that Nvidia would rather use TSMC fabs to produce their highest-margin H100 super AI chips.
People who complain about prices need to understand a few things:
1. The marketplace of supply and demand determines pricing.
2. No one has some God-given right to buy a GPU at what they consider the 'right' or 'fair' price.
3. Nvidia is a publicly traded company that maximizes profit wherever it can to produce profits for its executives and shareholders (the two groups overlap significantly), and support their share price, incuding expectations of profit going forward.
4. Nvidia doesn't really care whether you can afford $1600 for the low-end RTX 4090. As long as someone else does.
5. If you want to have the money to buy a 4080 or 4090, buy some Nvidia stock.
Welcome to capitalism, comrade.
brah why are you so butt hurt? Please
that we telling the truth? also NVIDIA AI chips are just repurposed GPU chips put together like ASICs that mine bitcoin.
its the exact same concept.

4070 is competing with 7800 XT unless you are going for RT
7800 XT beats a non-Ti 4070.

I just got a RTX 4070 TI for $670 and it looks new to me. I don't see any blemishes or anything but I haven't install it in yet. How is the RX 7800 XT vs RTX 4070 TI compares? Not many comparison vids are out yet

I see Newegg now has Zotac RTX 4070 at $549.99 as well. Which is the better brand, Zotac or Gigabyte?

With you on that. Gigabyte cards are a pass in my book. The last TWO had too many issues that I will stay away from them this go around.
