Something else that are more important than the stand itself VA vs IPS and brightness seems to be an issues for me . Can't find what I want with the right price.

Not quite similar enough. The dell one has 144hz refresh vs. 165, and the Dell has a 1800r curve vs this ones 1000r curve. Big difference and I couldn't make a pick between the two based upon the stand alone.

you can get a desk or wall mount and not use stand. or you can get a universal stand with minimal footprint for cheap.

A good stand is also an issue for me. You could always get a 3rd party stand, but that would be an added cost. Did you say the Dell is VA not IPS? Not sure if that's a deal breaker but IPS is important.

Both are VA panels.

This price point is well covered which is why I don't understand how the Samsung is a good deal.
