Wow, that looks like an incredible config. Is it really 3.77lbs with the 86Wh battery?

Edit: Can't find the actual weight anywhere. Psref specs just mention "starting at 3.77" lbs, so that could be the weight with the smaller 52Wh battery. It would be incredible if this laptop is indeed 3.77lbs.

Yes, I also tried to look in Psref by selecting some USA model with similar specification and all have that same starting weight mention. However, I don't think it is going to be over 4 lbs with that 86 WHr battery.

The T16 Gen 2 AMD is identical to the P16s, and for that model PSREF [lenovo.com] gives a weight of "starting at 4.02 lbs" for the black model with 86 Whr battery.

I'd probably skip the SSD upgrade, since you can get a high-performance 1TB SSD for $40 these days.

Reminder that Amex Offers has $100 off $500 on many personal cards and 15% on business cards. Lenovo allows splitting payment between 2 cards.

Thanks for the research and finding the answer about the weight.

Thanks for that info. 4lbs is a hard to justify on a 16" laptop without a dGPU and a U series processor, but I assume this one is built like a tank and has a great keyboard.

And it also has higher thermal headroom for the CPU, allow it to run at high boost clock for longer duriation, compared to super thin & light laptops like say LG Gram 16.

1080P @ 16" is pretty garbage at this price point when other laptops offer 4K OLED. At least IMO.

There is an an OLED option (3840 x 2400). Comes to around $1400 after coupon and ID.me discount, if you keep the other specs similar to the OP.

"Storm Grey" is a no-cost alternative to the traditional black. I'd probably select that, as it gets you an aluminum lid and will be less prone to smudges. It's a tiny bit (<0.1 lb) heavier.

I have the Gen 1 P16 with intel 1260P and 86 wHr battery, I think this uses the same or very similar chassis - it is 3.8 lbs, very light weight for the size of the device + battery size.

It's pretry okay and this is a business laptop, not for watching movies. A 4K OLED Screen will have little impact 9n it's effectiveness but will decrease battery life significantly.
