I'm almost 40yrs old, and I've seen and watch TONS of movies, including being an AMC stubs member. A lot of people are slamming me but I watched this movie at the theater without having any expectation of it. And the movie made me laugh, cry at certain points uncontrollably, Sci-Fi elements, action. I think it also had to do with in upbringing of my childhood and never feeling I was enough. The constant struggle of the wife always looking for more, taking her husband for an idiot, when she had everything she needed all along. It was a very deep sentimental experience for me Coupled with the fact I'm a huge action and Sci-Fi fan with loads of hilarious ridiculousness. I've never seen a movie where, I'm laughing and crying at the same time. Paid full price upon release and have seen it 4 times total.
EEAAO #1 and probably Marcel the Shell with Shoes on were my favorite movies of 2021

lol I felt like I was the only person that thought the movie sucked. I rented it based off all the hype and knowing the general premise and just turned it off towards the end when i stopped caring.
But is what it is.
What is the best movie you've watched recently? And also, what made you think it sucked? I'm not judging, just genuinely curious how we can have such differing opinion.
I think it would've appealed to more audience if later half of the movie was cut in half. It was an absolute drag to watch the last 30 min of the movie
Some folks love sauerkraut, oysters, and sweetbreads. Some people find those things vomit inducing. What a boring world this would be if we all liked the same things.

Hot mess. It's like someone with ADHD wrote it and then someone else said "hey let's make this into a movie but we need a way to herd all the cats at the end".
I watched this on deployment in Kuwait, in the "theater" we had at Camp Buehring (just a tent with an outdated, low res projector hooked up to a laptop). It was awesome! I've never seen an audience laugh so much. I mean, it was a bunch of Soldiers watching jokes about butt plugs. So I guess that's a given. But great movie nonetheless.
I don't buy a lot of movies, because I seldom watch them more than once. But this one is definitely worth owning.
I went in to the theater as blind as possible (I knew it had something to do with a multiverse but nothing else) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. great action, great comedy, and a lot of heart string pulls while also giving a view into a socio-economic group that I have had very little interaction with personally so it kept me interested.

Some folks like watching WWE and get excited Expendables 4 is a thing.
