I actually called in to cancel my mobile service because it would not let me do it online and they could not successfully port any numbers I was trying to bring after 3 weeks. They cancelled my INTERNET, and left my mobile active, even after I specifically said "I want to be clear, I do NOT want to cancel my internet services." and verbally confirmed that with them twice. It was an absolute joke.

Also why it says Samsung S21 5G is not eligible for trade-in. I thought it is not that old. I am trying to get an iPhone 15 Pro though.. Not sure if iphone needs iphone trade-in.

iphones sell on ebay instantly if you price them right. its a hassle, but it saves a ton of cash.
No way is $10 a day worth it. Other option is to turn off data and use wifi and pay by the mb if its an emergency like you need to cancel a reservation or get a map.

$400 off. Get additional savings with a qualifying trade in.
At the top of the page it says: "Upgrade a device and save up to $529.99 when you pay over 24 months"
It doesn't seem like they are discounting the $400 off if you are upgrading your phone on an existing line on Xfinity Mobile.
Here are the details that make it sound like you can get an iPhone 12-15 and go with "2" below.

Not sure it's even worth the risk just to go from 12 to 15 for $120 and then someone said you pay tax too, but I am not sure how that would work when it's paid monthly. But maybe ytou sitll do even then...
Port out the two numbers to a cheap prepaid provider then buy a new line with an iphone 12 and the $400 discount and port the numbers back in. Sell your old phone on ebay.
Option 2:
They do seem to let you upgrade and get the full $600 if you trade in, so you could buy a used iphone se 3 for under $200 and upgrade and avoid the porting. . Sell your old phone on ebay.
Its a little bit more of a hassle than just upgrading like they allowed last year (last year you could get the 14 on an upgrade and still get the $400 deal).

I am not taking the chance and plan to port out the number and port it back in. I have had some porting issues in the past with XM but if they get all the numbers right and the passwords and stuff it works pretty well. Just make sure you have the customer service rep triple check as they are not very good at data entry.
Think about it this way. porting is something they do every day 1000s of times. moving eSims and converting sim to esim and not screwing things up is not something the typical customer service rep will have ever done.
