If it will be something you use on a daily basis, sure, spend the extra for a dual hose. For people like me who have an older ac unit and this is merely a backup for when it dies, spending more money for a dual hose isn't really worth the extra cost.

is the air from this single hose sucking air from the outside and, also pushes hot air out? If the air intake is in the front of the unit, then I can seal this using where the opening of that upper room is and connect the hose to the air exiting the home.
Then I think it would work great for me.
Thanks.
I've used a single hose at night in my bedroom for years and it worked great. WAY cheaper than cooling the whole house down to 68F, especially since my bedroom is on the top (4th) floor and gets the afternoon sun. So it really means I'm cooling the other 1200 sq. ft. to 60F to get the bedroom to 68F.
That said, my new dual hose is more efficient and therefore cheaper to run (I just got the dual-hose Hisense for $299 at Costco last month).
If I only had the dual-hose, I'd pick this up as a backup in a heartbeat for the price.

I originally bought them when my central went out and it was a couple days to get the part in. Decided to just keep them in place and run as needed.
I've got an older 5k BTU unit- hate putting it in the window. Assume this is much more portable, except the not as easy to hide when not in use.
What are power requirements for this
