I prefer the 7500. Primarily because the 7500 is quieter. It has the sound dampening tech of the next gen that the v1200 does not have. Plus, I don't find the extra features of the v1200 useful.

As someone who regularly makes small quantities or likes to add in ingredients as I make dips or garnishes, I wish they had the 5200 in this sale. It has that elongated shaped container which does a better job of pulling things down, and it's all manual dial controls so you don't have to hope a program gets it right. The V1200 super pack has a countdown / countup timer, 10 years instead of 7 year warranty, and bunch of accessories for $30 more.
Based on rtings, they seem to have similar performance and the build quality of the V1200 is slightly better - with a more solid metal base.
