The keyboard experience is a bit lacking, not only you have to use touch screen to select a input but also the on screen keyboard will always popup first. Only Samsung input method is optimized for their keyboard so wave your favorite third party input method goodbye.

Meanwhile, there are many apps only run in portrait mode, although you have an option to force it in landscape(by adding large margin on both side of screen) it doesn't feel very polished experience for tablet of this $$$.

When compared with iPad, I would say Samsung DeX will blow iPad OS stage manager right away, the stage manager window logic is very confusing even though my daily drive is a MacBook, I recommend you get a hands on for both Galaxy Tab and iPad WITH a keyboard attached if you plan to use it as a laptop alternative as I do.

100% agreed with this! I use the 11" iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and the S8+ with book cover keyboard interchangeably throughout the day. There are little annoyances with Sammy that never shows up with the iPad while using the same app with their respective keyboards. As you mentioned the forced portrait mode on some apps are just plainly absurd... don't know if the reason is Samsung, Android or that particular app (or a combination of some) for this, but it definitely dampens the experience compared to an iPad.

Samsung DeX is amazing! I use it when I'm on my "alternate" desk without the laptops (MBA M2 or Yoga 9i) around. I wish the tablet experience itself was that smooth!

Only the S23 series and the new Fold/Flip series have bundle discounts for the S9 tab series. I don't think it will work for S22 Ultra.

Currently debating upgrading Tab S8+ to S9 Utra. If I want to have a book and a note app running split screen, S8+ is a bit too small. Anyone have Ultra and feel that it's too big?

Also, anybody have an accessory discount code from Samsung that they are willing to share?

I had to remove and add them a few times a swapped the order of adding the s23 first and the tab second then vice versa . I think the last time I did it I exited out of the edu discount and reapplied it and then it worked.
