"Honestly, there's really not much of a reason to upgrade to the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra if you already own the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. With the exception of Vision Booster, a variable refresh rate, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, these are identical tablets. You'll get mostly the same performance across the board, all while enjoying a massive 14.6-inch AMOLED screen.
There's an argument that could be made in regards to the extra year of software support, but by the time that rolls around, we'll probably be looking at the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra or something. "
With that said not sure its worth the cost at $400 plus also considering screen protector, case and keyboard. Will hold out until better deal pops up preferably one with the official keyboard included.
Probably others like myself in the same boat.
Still not worth the upgrade until the price comes down.

My latest frustrations are that you can't get Signal in desktop mode (where it's synced to your phone rather than its own instance) and that the options for software to take handwritten notes for displaying during lectures are pretty weak (because the projected image shows too much interface, in most cases.) These are the sorts of things you never have to deal with in ipad land; maybe I'm just getting too old for Android tablets, though still holding onto my Samsung phones.
Also, they're phenomenal for school, both teaching and studying.
