3060 with 12GB VRAM seems like the better choice over a 4060. Doesn't seem like that great of a deal unless you can slot in your own RAM for ~ $50 more. Also needs a 1TB nVME imo, so now you are look at ~ $800 total with 2 parts you need to add / swap.

Why does the 3060 look better? I just bricked a 4060 laptop and it seemed like the graphics perf was shockingly good. Doesn't the 4000 series have the frame-gen tech but the 3060 doesn't?

Looks like not much of a difference if any between 8GB and 16GB in most games, nice

Victus 15L case is a hotbox. Ventilation is complete junk with only a single 92mm fan in the top rear. It gets very noisy, too, not a good fan design. Proprietary motherboard and PSU, VRM cooling is not present. It's a small case, but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages by a longshot.

it's not really 700$. likely ull need to add more ram and storage; id assume trash the one in this system buy 32gb for ~40-50$, then secondary 1tb ssd for ~40-50$.. then the case is trash tho, will throttle quick

although, id go with the skytech one on amazon, 850$: better psu, and prob much better cooling than this

That was 2022. A lot has changed since then as most games have started being developed for ps5 and Xbox series x

Good call. Just saw this one last night. I think the case is too ugly for me so it may be time to do another build myself 😈

Not a bad deal, but keep in mind HP cuts corners. They rope you in with one or 2 decent features at a good price but all the remaining components are bottom of the barrel.

Isn't the 3070 better than the 4060?

I completely agree it is a hotbox. I got a AMD 15L version from MicroCenter for my daughter to use and ended up cutting a 140mm fan hole in the top of the case. You have two choices for the top exhaust fan either a low profile fan on the inside of the case or a standard fan mounted to the top outside of the case. I also added a side intake fan on the inside of the case by removing the lower unneeded bracket to make room. Due to limited fan headers I ended up going with a SATA to mulex adapter to power the fans. She can play Hogwarts and other games for hours and the temps do not go above 70C for either the CPU or GPU. This setup also limits the RPMs of the stock fan making the systems quieter overall.

The front IO looks just like the HP Pavilion w/Ryzen and I had awhile ago. After finding out nothing was upgradeable since it has a property motherboard, underpowered and proprietary PSU and so on, I vowed to never buy a pre-built again. You can get higher quality upgradeable parts if you build it yourself.
