Not really. It's about the same. Typical battery weighs about 8lb depending on the capacity.

Are parts for these bikes easy to get for either repair or upgrading? Or are they relatively proprietary to the brand?

The battery, controller, and motor look farely standard for ebikes, the rest are regular bike parts, overall this ebike looks easily serviceable.

I have a similar commuter bike w stiff forks and 632 Wh battery, at 54 lbs w battery. I carry it up and down 1 flight of stairs at home ok. Im a male weighing 145 lbs.

52v and 19.2ah. That is a massive battery. It is almost double capacity of other battery pack.

I have the step through model of this bike and at this price it is a fantastic deal. It's hard to find a motor and Battery combination this good for this kind of money from a reputable vendor.

Only the large and extra large sizes are still available at this price

The battery and motor are great. No step thru though, I would consider something like this as a main commuter ride for sure, I ride 20 miles a day

that's not "massive" that's about standard for these days. Most I've seen are 48v 17.5ah, 52v 20ah, or 48v 20ah..

Holy shit that bike is nice but that battery is insane. 33lbs and the bike is over 100lbs. Really cool though, you could have some epic adventures on that if it holds up.

But yeah a bike battery like the op has is really good high capacity that is reasonable weight for everyday use.
