The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

Yeah I'm not sure why the main post says new lines get a free iPhone 15 without any trade-in for new lines. I've yet to see that be the case via the web portal or in-store.

This sure reminds me of car financing. In the 70s it was three years 36 months. Then it went to 48 months, then 60 months, then 72 months, and I've heard tell of car loans that are finance for 82 months.

No.
But here's a tip:
Schedule a repair at the Apple Store, it's 200 for a new authentic screen and then trade it in, still far cheaper than trading nothing.

Wonder if Att's loyalty department can match this deal. Devices already ready for shipping and going through the hassle of returning phones, waiting for upgrade ready to be refreshed and ordering from Costco will itself be worth the credits and card lol. I'm sure the activation fee will be refunded by att at the very least

For international travelers: the phone will be locked for 36 months and you'll have to pay it off to have it unlocked, effectively losing the trade in credits

Yes, most likely. I've done this in the past. They have to go through thousands of trade ins and it's a visual check for form and functionality

Lot of ppl here wants to go mint but for me mint is a nightmare. Service is very spotty and you have full signal strength but cannot send or receive anything. Deprioritizing during rush hours… maybe maybe for ppl just stay at one location is great but have you seen mint's fees?

Mint is great for me, better than tmobile and atat which i had previously and i only paid $45 for unlimited everything for 3 months
