Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

I really want to know why would one feel the need to constantly change carriers at this point. What are you gaining by doing so?
I have switched carrier 4 times over the years and they all were painful experiences and logistics nightmares.
Doesn't it bother you that you have to have to pay extra for activation fee?
Sure there are some don't have activation fee, but they all lack in customer service and support. What if you need help?
What about paying for overlapping services when you switch? Even if you timed it perfectly, you still have 1 day overlapping if you want to transfer your number. If you do it 30 times, then you paid a month if overlapping services.
How do you trust the phone number transfer process would go smoothly? Especially on the providers that have almost 0 customers service?
Most importantly to me is how do you get discount on the newest phones?
I feel like picking a cell carrier is a lot like dating. Sure you want to try them out to see if you are compatible, but once you found the one that checks all the boxes, don't you just settle down and stick to that one?
For those who switch carriers, how often do you switch? And what are the reasons for you to switch?
Please help me understand

I have never seen anything cheaper. All these ATT, Verizon, TMobile deals have $50-$75 plans which just destroy the whole deal.
