Previously was on a MVNO and it was terrible. Missed calls. Texts coming in 2 hours later. I think if you are needing your phone for mission critical work, it would not work well on a cheaper MVNO. YMMV, obviously.
In retirement, I would go back to a cheaper MVNO.

Was told by Costco ATT kiosk (where I did my upgrade) customer service rep not to take it to the store for trade-in.
Take everything to an ATT store and do it there. I traded ours last week at the store and it's already shows pending in the system. Didn't want to risk it and have my phone be lost in the mai which seems to happen often reading the comments here. Just make sure to get a receipt. ATT corp stores do take trade-ins. Costco CS gave you wrong info.
