Not sure if you're referring to Priority Pass lounges, but just want to make clear that you can use virtual card to get in, it's in the Chase app.
Capital App, Venture X, just got back in Seattle did a trip to Denver, Green Bay, Phoenix, used the priority pass app in Seattle, haven't received the PP key card yet. But the Dallas Capital One lounge is is their own lounge I can't imagine them turning away a virtual card holder, I'm sure they'd understand you haven't received their card yet
They give you access to ALL lounges Reserves gives you plus few more..
It's slightly more nuanced than that...
They give you access to a few CSR does not (specifically the few Cap One branded ones)
Where it's tricky is the other direction are the few Chase branded ones... By default CSR (and Ritz Carlton) holders and guests can get unlimited visits to those--- but "normal" priority pass members like the Cap One Venture X provides only get 1 visit a year, only to domestic ones, and it's unclear if they get any guests included with that.
Neither of course gets you into Centurion lounges- but then Amex having killed off free guests nerfed that perk of the higher end Amex cards anyway for most.

there's only 2 Chase branded lounges ..in vegas and one in HongKong
there's only 2 Chase branded lounges ..in vegas and one in HongKong
This is also incorrect...They DO have a Hong Kong one... but the Vegas one is not open yet- but the Boston one is... and there's a third if you count the one in Austin, which is called a "terrace" instead of a lounge, but it's at the airport and provides all the same stuff a "lounge" does- food, drink, nice seating and views, etc...
And there's 6 more coming soon in Las Vegas, LaGuardia, Philly, Phoenix, San Diego, and Dulles.
Cap One in contrast DOES have only 2 at the moment worldwide. At DFW and Dulles. They, like Chase, do have more coming soon- but only half as many (2 more announced total, in Denver and Vegas)
Cap One in contrast has... ONE lounge. Total. Worldwide. At DFW. They, like Chase, do have more coming soon- but only half as many (3 more announced total, in Denver, Vegas, and Dulles)
It appears they finally opened the one in Dulles. Of course, my next trip out is from BWI... it figures. For me it's a worthwhile perk as I tend to fly all my international out of Dulles (which is a whopping 2-3 times a year, but still...) and sometimes I take the bus up from the deep dark of Appalachia so my wait times are both long and tend to overlap the no-go times in the Air France lounge and the so-crowded-you-may-as-well-sit-at-the-gate Turkish lounge.
Seems like a lot of card gurus here. I've got an Amex gold because we eat out weekly. Throw around 3k monthly on the card. I see cap one does 2x miles. I don't want two annual fee cards in that range, so would you ditch the Amex for the cap one or keep what I have?
When bonuses come up miles typically go to British airways.

Good catch, looks like it opened a month ago but Cap One has only updated some of their webpages to reflect it.. (I edited the post you replied to to update it with this- thanks!)

Man that Turkish lounge was awesome before everyone in the universe found out about it

If you actually get full value out of the two $120 gold credits available then your net cost is $10, and you're getting 4x at restaurants and grocery stores that transfer 1:1 to BA which you say is where your points tend to go.
This cap one card (assuming you use the annual bonus points and travel credit) is effectively $0 annually. But only gets you 2x on those categories. (and has fewer transfer partners and less often does transfer bonuses) so certainly seems worse for your circumstances.
Anyone having luck with getting their card with expeditied shipping? I just called customer service and was told that is something they do not do which I dont believe

Are you taking advantage of the monthly credits on the Gold card to effectively eliminate the annual fee? If not and you travel at all, then the VX card could make sense.
With the VentureX you get:
Priority Pass lounge access (+2 guests).
Cap1 lounge access (only 1 or 2 currently, but more planned).
TSA PreCheck/Global Entry credit.
Free authorized users who also get lounge access + 2 guests.
$100 annually (10,000 miles each anniversary)
So technically you can hold the VX and pay $0 out of pocket since you get reimbursed in full. That isn't counting the miles/points you earn throughout the year.
Keep in mind that BA is a transfer partner of Cap1 as well.
