They ask for SSN, do they goto Credit Unions to check our score/history? Do I need to remove freeze before applying, just wondering?
I did not get a credit check alert, so most likely it's just for validation. I paid in full btw

Also - I have their internet service for over a decade now

I love Cox
Haven't tried it.
Would you recommend Cox over the alternatives?

If you're a modest monthly data user and live/work/travel in an area with decent T-Mobile service:

I have the $15 "Connect by T-Mobile Prepaid service" plan. Data is capped at 3.5GB per month with a hard stop when you run out. It increases 0.5GB per month each year (based on when the plan was first offered) to a maximum of 5GB per month. I buy pre-paid T-Mobile gift cards at Target because they do not charge sales tax and are frequently on-sale with a 5% discount. T-Mobile does not charge taxes and fees when you pay with pre-paid cards, they must assume that you paid taxes at the time of purchase. I've had this plan for several years and I am happy overall with the service and the value.

Yes it was hard credit pull for me and they ask to remove freeze, I think they do like soft credit check first to see if you are prequalified and then one hard credit pull at Experian to find out your credit limit

When placing the order, I was told that I can get 14.99 off of the monthly rate of my current internet service with them. Nice!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but does anyone know if there's a way for iPhones or Cox to limit the data limit to 1 gig a month since it says the phone would have to be connected to the service for 3 months for the visa to be mailed out I'd be worried about the iphone downloading random things on the network like updates and stuff.
You're not charged for going over the data limit. It just slows down the transfer speed to where you can't do much other than light browsing and emails

Mmm not sure if it's worth it for a hard credit pull. Are you an existing or new Cox customer?

Google and found this link. https://www.cox.com/mobile-shop/devices

Bottom seems to indicate you can use the 15 plan.

What's unlocking policy. I saw 60days
60 days for devices being locked is correct.

I am existing Cox customer, but Hard Credit Pull was from Citizens bank

I financed the phones not buy them outright.

Sort of what happens is, Cox Mobile opens Citizens Pay account (they send you login registration for it later) under your name and you get a line of credit, for it was around $5k and I use that for financing of phones from Cox. Sort of like it's a new credit card account

I don't see any need for financing from there, you could buy from your credit card and pay it later.

Weird, I did not get a hard pull on my credit, only a soft one (May be not even a soft one? I did not get alerts from any of my credit service app)
PS. I paid in full
Edit: Just saw you said you financed the phone maybe that's why.

My bad, I financed my phones. They open Citizen Pay account for me which caused Hard Pull
