The rebate is only good if ordered by the 22nd (which would be at best the day I receive the first 2 phones, and at this point is unlikely I receive them by then), and so since the order would be processed after that it would no longer qualify.

Where are you all getting the updated ship dates? My original email and order confirmation says "arrived by 9/22", along with the phone rep I talked to saying that my phone will "arrive by 9/22".

Haven't received any email updates, and when checking my order status it still shows "arriving by 9/22" but hasn't shipped or anything yet, just says processing.

I think they're getting that when checking out and/or order confirmation? Basically the same way that yours is showing, but theirs is already letting them know the date is not 9/22 since it was ordered later than those that got in early (and thus have the 9/22). They likely had/have a set allocation and so had an idea of how many would get sent and by when and it should be reflected in the order confirmation.

Should find out today, since my e-mail says I'll be charged 24 hours before it ships, and so it'd have to ship by tomorrow in order to get here by the 22nd.

It's still the 20th so we have 2 more days right? I just saw this now and was considering placing an order. I have cox internet service.
$500 off on a pro seems like a great deal. Just need to pay 3x $15 for service and then cancel.
Making it about $555 for a pro. Or $545 if they waive the activation.

A few of the users mentioned that they were previously quoted 9/22 at checkout and order confirmation, but now have been updated to a later date. That's why I'm wondering if Cox promised too many at the 9/22 date, and are now finding that Apple won't be able to supply them enough to fulfill all the orders, hence the delays.

No update on my order yet either way. No emails, no status update on the site, nothing.

When I go into my account, my two orders (placed on the 16th) both still show estimated delivery of Sep 22. Chat rep said his system showed the same and also confirmed that I will get a discount of $15/mo on my internet service. (I only ever got the two original emails "you're all set" and "order under review" for each order, no followup.)
