Newell Brands bought the rights to Ball, Kerr, Bernardin, Golden Harvest. Pretty much 99% of all canning glass jars. The reason why prices skyrocket and lids and bands are often hard to find and often just as much as the jar itself. The coof lockdowns ruined supply chains.
Third party lids and bands are horrible. All that work to grow, harvest, pressure cook or heat bath that food gets ruined.
