For anyone thinking to get the prev lighting connector pro 2 version for cheaper, apple didn't mention it clearly but there are internal hardware changes apart from usb c, which allow for lossless audio in future. It didn't feature in 15 series but there's a greater chance that most of the future devices will support lossless audio (not just vision pro).
This is like future proofing against those.

For anyone thinking to get the prev lighting connector pro 2 version for cheaper, apple didn't mention it clearly but there are internal hardware changes apart from usb c, which allow for lossless audio in future. It didn't feature in 15 series but there's a greater chance that most of the future devices will support lossless audio (not just vision pro).

Thanks OP. Was waiting for these to go on sale and wasn't expecting it right away.
With this purchase all my Apple devices are USB-C now. One charging cable to rule them all.

Future proof & apple don't belong in the same sentence. Their ipads have long had usb c...& the regular iPhone 15 is still gimped to usb 2.0 speeds while finally the 15 pro can utilize usb 3.0 lol. Earpods still on aac 264 kbps vs Sony ldac at 990 kbps. I have pro 1s BTW, but Apple does not innovate nor futureproof until someone already has

It's a great earbuds but the microphone sensitivity really annoys me.

When talking to people who use Airpods, I can always hear other sounds that are not the sound of the person I'm in conversation with louder (mouse clicking, keyboard typing and other surrounding.)

Did Apple fix this problem yet?
