What dows that mean for higher speed ram? Did you mean if I plug 6000Mhz ram in they're still running at 5600Mhz?
It means they can only run at non-XMP profile speed/timing. The speed on the packages of ram are always XMP profile speeds. Also, even if it's running at 4000, that's really crappy for DDR5 given that their CL timing is much slower than DDR4.

RAM can only run at JSEC speeds, which is not the speed on the packages advertised for RAM.

This is generally the case with these types of pre-builts, and it's the main caveat of getting a pre-buit. RAM upgrades suck!

I don't have this PC yet so I can't confirm anything but it does look like the BIOS allows running xmp profiles. At a minimum this video confirms you can at least swap out 5600 kits:

I did a little more sleuthing and found that at least this person was able to run 32gb x 2 @6000:

Using Amazon checkout and doing 12 months no interest is a nice option. Still debating if BF will beat any deal like this….ugh

Just a friendly heads up but you can get 10% cashback right now from you know where. Makes this deal even more slick.
Were you able to get the 10% cashback confirmed?

Well..I've been waiting since last holiday season for a deal on a top end pc and there hasn't been anything except for some one off deals like the 4080 Lenovo refurbs on eBay for $1500. My hunch is there may be a better deal this holiday season given high end gpus are more available and the economy is worse…but I could be wrong lol

Been getting alot of mixed info about RAM specially on the 64 model.

Read from the 4080 thread that it can now run 5600 on 2x16 config. Can it run 5600 on all 4x16 sticks for the 64 model?

Any suggestions on a somewhat (under 1k) monitor that will do this thing justice? Preferably good for work too. Thanks!

I've been reading a bunch about the RAM as well. Can this support 64GB if it's 2 32 sticks at 5600 as opposed to 4 16 sticks?

If you're spending $2600 on computer components you should really take 15 minutes and learn how to do it yourself. This model runs hot, gimped mobo, gimped bios.

It's the opposite for me. I've built 3 rigs in my life. I dont think I went over 1.8k on any of those. I'm at the point in my life that my time is very valuable and I don't get joy in building my own rig anymore. If I'm spending this much, it better be plug and play. I don't have time to figure error codes anymore.

I'd rather waste whatever free time I have gaming or scouring slickdeals with pointless deals as thats what gives the happy hormones. 😂
