I tried these. Very disappointing. The pack does not dissolve completely and residue actually caused stains.
I was very close to pulling the trigger, but several of the 1 star reviews mentioned these caused mold growth. Won't take the chance.

They're almost all very recent, too - might explain the sale. Thanks for saving me hassle - reps given.

Hard pass. In times of disaster, the toilet tank is a source of clean drinking water. Don't add chemicals

From a plumber "Don't add chemicals to your toilet tank, it will ruin your gaskets, seals and flapper".

Anything can be use for the toilet ring ? I think my cleaners used harsh scrubber and the ring that never existed, develops within a day now.

how about the one clips to the side of the bowl, so it doesn't touch the tank ?

If it ever comes to needing to drink out of the toilet, I'll just presume we re all fecked anyway.

What's probably happening is they already had an environment susceptible to mold growth and the surfactants are just speeding up the process.

There's no way these are introducing mold into the tank like one might conclude.

If your cold water tends to come out a little warm in the summer and you let that sit in the tank, that's a more likely cause for breeding mold.
