In case you care, heads sold by Sam's are C2, and Costco sells the C3 version.

Weird that shipping is $1.99. Not a deal killer, but I'm used to Costco baking in shipping price for items, especially in this price range.

The C3 is better. Better plague removal and softer bristles. It's easier on the gums.

Diamond clean is medium these are soft. Soo depends on what your dentist tells you, all of mine say to use soft. I've been using diamond historically but just bought these from warehouse to try, haven't swapped it yet.
Wow so glad you told me. Medium f'ed up gums a while ago and I went to soft

I switched over to the generic ones from Amazon and have been really happy with them. For a buck or so a piece it is hard to justify a 6x price difference.

I've had problems with the generic versions with bristles coming off when brushing. So annoying. The official ones are more money but it's negligible in the course if the year. Bought 8 W2 for $38 but I think the ones that end in 3 are better. Updated design and the heads are softer.

Soft Bristles are always good for Gums. Gum health will improve when you give little massage while brushing. Hard and Medum Bristles are not good for gum tissues. They will damage gum tissues.

I am really curious how "Replacement Reminders" work under the hood. If you take off the head and put it back on, the brush still knows its a used head.

I think it's based on nfc, the heads have an nfc chip and the brush must have a small amount of memory to store recent heads on.

It can't be a lot of memory. Maybe it can remember around 2-10 heads? I doubt it's writing to the head. I should try swapping a used head to another brush and see if it recognizes it as used.
I went from using a smart but not connected brush to a Bluetooth one, and the head on the new brush was able to report aggregate use on the old brush. Basically, total minutes of brushing time. With Bluetooth and the app, I get brush sessions plus minutes per brush session, and a total estimate of remaining brush sessions left.

Thank you for the info. I'm a regular at Costco and didn't realize they generally only carry 2 of the Sonicare toothbrush heads. Sam's membership finally coming in handy! 😜

Can anyone suggest where to buy these besides these clubs? I don't have any memberships, but I would rather buy more to save money on these if possible elsewhere.

I use these: OralClass Replacement Toothbrush Heads Compatible with Sonicare Toothbrushes, Medium Soft Electric Brush Head Refills for Philips Sonic Care Click on Handles 4100 5100 HX6250 C G W 2 3 Series, 8 Pack https://a.co/d/c4mzXJz

I went to the dentist today for a cleaning, and the hygienist said my teeth were really clean. I haven't had any issues with them.

Every now and then Amazon will have a coupon on these and you can save more with subscribe and save. I usually buy at Costco but with the coupon it can be cheaper at Amazon.
