when did the 3rd gen come out? and is it better than the 2nd gen? I bought one a few years ago and it was terrible at picking up movement outside.

also if i am on PC, is there a page that shows all the times people replied to me? can someone give me a link

Not a bad deal at all considering I just got two refurbished ones for 84.99. Was thinking about adding a mini as a 3rd. on the fence still cuz minis are 20 bucks on ebay and location of 3rd camera doesn't need to be outside and the issue of adding another cam that will need batteries one day.

These are good for recording but terrible if you need to quickly open your cameras. They take forever to load.

100% agree. Once it alerts you of motion, by the time it loads the person/animal/thing is gone, forcing you to open the recorded video. Kind of pointless. I only have because the cost and setup is so good. Ring is a superior system, but higher cost

Well that's not good. I already think my Ring cam is too slow. Much of the time, it does not even register the door opening if someone just opens it and throws a package or the mail inside.

It's completely useful. Takes forever to load and too sensitive to motions

I just use Wyze cams. They are by far the best cameras for the money in my opinion. The V3 cams are awesome, and you can get them for cheap on sale, especially on woot from time to time.

by any chance do they give you previews in notifications? I just tried the arlo and ring and they seem so useless, arlo you had to pay to see previews and frequently the app would struggle to load/login. Ring seemed to be similar minus the login issues but would still have to review the recordings and had a higher cost

Yes, they give short previews to look at on motion detection. I do pay yearly for the cloud services, but I didn't do that until I got the Wyze doorbell pro. I had the ring doorbell 4 I think, but it was garbage in my opinion. I've liked the Wyze better in every way. I have about 15 ring cameras, and several of thier other products. I'm a believer. If you just put an SD card in them you wouldn't need the cloud service. I think it does only show a picture snapshot without the cloud service though, but that shows the timestamp and it's way easier to navigate recordings vs other cams. note: these are running in a power plug, and they have light bulbs adapters if you aren't near a plugin, but hane a light nearby. They have the wireless ones too, but I haven't tried them yet. I would assume they are similar, just with no plug in.

Gotcha ok, well a picture preview is handy at least and all I need. Arlo gives nothing without a subscription and all I want is a quick preview before it attempts to load an app cause that usually delays or fails (arlo fails the most)

just want something with free visual notifications
